Golly I'm shocked I'm causing such a huge debate, hahaha!
Someone made a note that, aside from Jay, I gave everyone really horrible lives. In this sense, as I said my personal oppinion was that Herry's parents died when he was very young and he was raised by Granny- he wouldn't feel all that bad not having parents because he'd have Granny as his guardian, y'know?
I don't feel like many of those lives are all that bad, haha. And besides, everyone always has some aspect of negativity in their lives and that probably helps them cope with the stresses of fighting Cronus. Also adds to my theory that, secretly, Jay doesn't cope so well and that's why he extra-burdens himself with being the Leader because he doesn't know how to handle the really, really, really tough situations. Not to mention, being only child of two parents can be really tough too.
Also, this is just the way I see it. I'm loving seeing everyone's thoughts with/against what I think, but I'm not here to dictate. I think everyone knows that but at first I was a little worried people might feel I was trying to write cannon upbringings.
Anyways, Xtream, I'm adoring your analysis of my ideas- it's even MORE input shaping a really cool fan-look at the upbringing of the kids and I can't wait 'til you finish up!

CRAP! I read everyone post and there is some I laughed and some that was shocked! Now it's my turn to say what I have to say... let's go!
Jay, Archie, Herry, Odie and Neil would have each a older and younger sister, while Theresa and Atlanta has each a older and younger brother... which I never knew why... I just imagine that but there might be a reason why in the episode "Prisoner Campe" we didn't see Herry's siblings and it might be because it ONLY showed pictures of Granny and Herry in the episode... and don't forget she must HAVE other pictures of her other grand-childrens and in the episode of "Mother knows best" is because his siblings must have been with thier mom... I guess but there is sometimes I think Herry as an only child. As for Jay, because in the episode of "Return to Hades" (If I got the name right)... maybe it didn't show his siblings in the flashbacks because they were maybe somewhere else or not born and in the episode of "Chaos 101" maybe they were away or something like that... as him too sometimes I think about him as an only child and same with Theresa and Neil... but I just like the idea of the heroes having siblings... as for thier parents? Well... just plain normal people... euh... I mean the guys' dads and the girls' moms would be normal but not the other parent... decended of the same heroes along thier older siblings... but you know I love to imagine stuff... it would be wicked if Herry's mom or older sister/brother was the decended of Hercules... it would be just too hilarious *sight* woman with super strength *Yeah right*... but it would be wicked tho, haha!
Like I was saying it's my imagination *smacks self* that they have siblings...

Honey Goddess has a cool view on that all of the kiddos have siblings. I think that's really awesome and does explain how they're all able to get along so easily- if they're already used to the older/younger sibling thing then it's not too hard to establish a ranking.
I always see Herry being like the older brother they all go to if they need a really big hug.
Jay and Theresa are totally most like the parents, speaking rational sense and scolding- although Jay is completely in control because he's the leader, so I figure what Jay says goes because the kids don't question him since he is the leader- and that'd be something they'd pick up as time goes along.
Neil's like the older sister/brother they go to when they're having relationship/fashion issues. He also gets them into all the cool parties and knows all the cool people.
Odie's probably treated like he needs to be protected in battle (like we saw in Trojan Horse) but I actally see him not being treated like the youngest/littlest sibling in their 'family'. They all go to him when they need help solving problems or with their homework and he's like the older brother who hangs more in the background than the limelight.
As in, if Odie's the 'good/neerdy' brother, Neil's like the stereotped 'bad egg/cool kid' brother, ya hear?
Archie and Atlanta- as the bible says- are the youngest members of the team and I think that despite their impressive athletic prowess in battle, they're treated like the babies of the 'family' and probably scolded and told what to do by everyone else. To which they probably rebel and cause all kinds of ruckus and I'm sure that's part of why A+A are such good friends.

Glad it does. I worry sometimes that my thoughts don't translate well.

Just to let you know for some wierd reason I think about what would the names of thier siblings would be (if they had/have one or two?)...
I would choose Alexandra for Archie's older sister and Ariane for his little sister... yeah I know like me but you didn't noticed that Archie and Ariane both starts with a Ar. While the rest I just like the names for the siblings (like I did with Archie's older sister)... Kristen and Chrissy for Herry's sisters, Atlanta's brothers would be Alexander and Vincent, Odie's sisters would be Margaret and Margarita, Neil's sisters would be Katie and Melanie, Jay's sisters would be Marie and Emily and *out of breath*... Theresa's brothers would be Thomas and Justin... I guess that's it... I know it was boring but anyways yeah... like I agree with everything that Demenior has said.
Sorry about telling the names and so on but sometimes I can be a wierdo... euh yeah Emily after XtreamEmily? Nah... just a named that I though of, hehehe but anyways I agree on EVERYTHING that Demenior has said...

(B I would get so confused with those names for Odie's sisters. I dunno about those. But I really, REALLY like the names you chose for Atlanta's and Theresa's siblings. But I can offer no more suggestions for ya. Because I am a moron.

Going with the naming scheme, I would assume their brothers and sisters- unless adopted or brought in from the not-Greek-descendent side, would have names following the 'named similar to the ancestors' thing that all the kiddo's have. Just my opinion. :)

I'm inclined to agree with Demmy. I don't think parents intentionally go about making their kids have similar names... I mean, look at my family: Matthew, Timothy, Benjamin, Emily, Amanda, Jenna (all in that order).
It's just a funny coincidence (in the show) that the decendents have names that reflect their ancestors. It was most likely added, however, by the creators to remind viewers of the connection.
Having said that, my step sisters do have names that end with 'a': Allysha, Jeleah, Nikkita.
So I guess SOME parents could be weird. =\

Then again, would the parents KNOW that their son or daughter descended from a Greek god or hero? I don't think so.
I would agree with you, they don't know that thier child is a decendent of a greek hero or god(dess)... like Archie said in the fifty-first episode, it's secret.

I think Theresa's family had a bunch of rich friends, and Theresa didn't like any of their children. In Chaos 102 she says "i was a black belt when I was twelve. While all the other rich girls were bored, i was restless"
