When I watched the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, I saw Nia Teppelin (the heroine of this show) suddenly turns into evil due to the reach of human population up to milllion and therefore she was anti-spiral. That kind of reminded me of Theresa turning into evil person within the aura from the episode called "The Phantom Rising". It was quite ironic.
